A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.6 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 25 x 8 x 12 front tire and a 25 x 11 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 inboard hydraulic discs in the front and a 1 inboard hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a MacPherson while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent. The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.

The 2006 Can-Am Outlander 500 HO EFI XT is the upgraded version of the basic half-liter ATV, with added extras to make it perform better in both everyday rides and in tight situations. Sporting handlebar deflectors, front and rear bumpers and a powerful winch, this quad is more fun, while looking better and offering an enhanced riding experience.
Great for longer trip into the wilderness, the 2006 Can-Am Outlander 500 HO EFI XT boasts the generous loading capacity of the dual steel racks: more than 135kg of gear can be loaded on them, and therefore some extra fuel is no longer a problem. The passenger seat can be easily removed for accommodating large loads, and the powerful winch is a great helper when the going gets tough, for your or your fellow-riders.

The 2007 Can-Am Outlander 500 HO EFI XT is the upgraded version of the half-liter HO EFI ATV, a vehicle engineered to carry rider and lots of gear across vast areas of unwelcoming terrain. Now with added Electronic Fuel Injection, this quad will offer better mileage and will start more easily in cold weather.
