The Dürkopp MD176 was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Dürkopp between 1956 and 1960. Claimed horsepower was 10.33 HP (7.7 KW) @ 5600 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 61.0mm bore x 60.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 173.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 1.85-19 front tire and a 1.85-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic telescopic while the rear was equipped with a two shock. The MD176 was fitted with a 3.57 Gallon (13.50 Liters) fuel tank.
