Engine

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, Testastretta 11° L-Twin, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 12.8:1 compression ratio.

Drive

Power was moderated via the Slipper and self-servo wet multiplate clutch with mechanical control.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted Monobloc Brembo M4-32 callipers, 4-pistons, axial pump with ABS as standard equipment in the front and a Single 245 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper with ABS as standard equipment in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba 43mm upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Progressive linkage with adjustable monoshock. Aluminum double-sided swingarm. The design of the Monster 821 is 100% Monster. The volumes, silhouette, tank and headlight are true to the original lines of the bike born in 1993 but revisited with a modern flair. The iconic and unmistakable tank also comes with a fastening hook, just like the first Monster.

The new 2019 Monster 821 stealth features matt black livery and red graphics, quick shift system, adjustable fork and nose fairing.
