The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, Testastretta 11° L-Twin, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 12.8:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Slipper and self-servo wet multiplate clutch with mechanical control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted Monobloc Brembo M4-32 callipers, 4-pistons, axial pump with ABS as standard equipment in the front and a Single 245 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper with ABS as standard equipment in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba 43mm upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Progressive linkage with adjustable monoshock. Aluminum double-sided swingarm. The Monster 821 Stealth was fitted with a 16.5 Liters / 4.36 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 180.5 kg / 398 lbs. The wheelbase was 1480 mm / 58.3 in long.
