Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, 90° “L” twin cylinders,Testastretta DVT with Desmodromic Variable Timing, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 13.0:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Light action, wet, multiplate clutch with hydraulic control. Self-servo action on drive, slipper action on over-run.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 R19 front tire and a 170/60 R17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 330 mm Semi-floating discs, radially mounted Brembo monobloc Evo M50 4-piston callipers, 2-pad, radial pump with cornering ABS as standard equipment in the front and a Single 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating caliper, with cornering ABS as standard equipment in the rear. The front suspension was a Electronically adjustable semi-active inverted 48mm Sachs fork while the rear was equipped with a Electronically adjustable semi-active Sachs shock. The Multistrada 1260 Enduro was fitted with a 30 Liters / 7.9 US gal / 6.6 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 225 kg / 496 lbs. The wheelbase was 1592 mm / 62.7 in long.

The wild side of Ducati The new Multistrada 1260 Enduro expands the concept of adventure with a new Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 engine with full torque curve and a renewed chassis for greater ease of riding at low speeds or when maneuvering.  A combination of performance and comfort that makes your travels unforgettable both on-road and off-road.

With the Vehicle Hold Control it is possible to move off from a standstill condition from slopes of up to 24.5 degrees. With a fording height of 465 mm, nothing can scare the Multistrada 1260 Enduro, least of all your adventures.  With the Ducati Cornering Lights the LED light turns on to illuminate the curve in order to balance the leaning angle, thus making any obstacle more visible.



New Testastretta DVT 1262 The latest evolution of the Ducati Testastretta engine, the Testastretta DVT 1262, lets you to enjoy maximum performances riding the new Multistrada 1260 Enduro. The increase in displacement and the use of the DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) system allow for torque delivery that is both full and fluid at low revs, guaranteeing sporty performance at medium-high speeds.

Chassis Ready to cross every continent The chassis dimensions of the new Multistrada 1260 Enduro were redefined to achieve the best compromise in terms of off-road riding and handling, with a passenger or luggage. The fully adjustable suspensions managed with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evo (DSS) system allows unprecedented versatility.
