The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual, hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90 -21 front tire and a 140/80 -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the front and a single 220mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock with progressive linkage.

The 2010 MY Gas Gas EC 250 4T is the four-stroke version, and mainly addresses those riders who expect more fuel-efficiency from their machine. It sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 249cc, single cylinder 5 valve engine that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
Also, it has been fitted with a chrome-molybdenum frame, front and rear disc brakes, a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a monoshock with progressive system in the rear, a race-inspired livery, a single seat, laced wheels with off-road tires mounted on them, an under-seat exhaust system with a black muffler and analogue instrumentation dials.
