The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 45° V-Twin, Twin Cam 96 vibration isolation-mounted Valves Pushrod-operated overhead valves; w/ hydraulic self-adjusting lifters; two valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio.

Power was moderated via the Multi-plate, wet.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a D427F 130/90B16 67H front tire and a D427 180/70B16 77H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 299mm disc 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 292mm disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 49 mm with polished aluminum fork triple clamp and dual-rate springs while the rear was equipped with a Coil over shock. The FXDF Dyna Fat Bob was fitted with a 18 9 Liters / 5.0 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 303.7 kg / 7 lbs. The wheelbase was 1619.7 mm / 63.7 in long.

A massive new presence in the Dyna family, FXDF Dyna Fat Bob takes factory-custom styling in a bold, new direction. The dual headlamps mounted between polished triple-clamps are a signature Fat Bob element. Chunky new tires front and rear are mounted on 16-inch Slotted Cast Aluminum wheels. The gleaming chrome Tommy Gun 2-1-2 exhaust – named for its slotted exhaust shield – snakes around the side of the black-and-polished Twin Cam 96 engine. Flat drag bars and forward foot controls put the rider in a position that's instant cool. (See separate release for more information on the FXDF Fat Bob). Braided Brake Lines: Braided stainless steel brake lines enhance both the style and brake feel on all 2008 Dyna models. 105th Anniversary Edition: A limited-edition, serialized 105th Anniversary FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide, FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom, and FXDL Dyna Low Rider will be available in 2008 (see separate release for details on the 105th Anniversary package).
