The engine featured a 8.8:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100-90 -19 front tire and a 110/90 -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks. The CB400 Super Sport was fitted with a 11 Liters fuel tank. The bike weighed just 139 kg.
