The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinders, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 9.5:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 130/90-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 276 mm discs in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa air-spring, 39mm stanchion tube diameter, brake-actuated hydraulic anti-dive while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks, 5-way adjustable spring preload, 4-way adjustable rebound damping. The CBX650SC Night Hawk was fitted with a 12.9 Liters / 3.4 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 197.0 kg / 434.3 lbs. The wheelbase was 1467 mm / 57.8 in long.

Honda CBX 650SC Night hawk
The CB650SC (also called the Nighthawk 650) was a
sold in the US from 19821985.
In 1982 the Nighthawk replaced the of the previous years and featured a re-designed tank and side covers. In 1983-1985 a new DOHC engine replaced the SOHC engine used from 1979-1982. The new engine had hydraulic valve lash adjusters and was rubber mounted. This year also saw the move from chain drive to shaft-drive for this model.
