The engine was a Liquid cooling cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valves with intake cam levers and exhaust rocker arm. The engine featured a 12.8:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the APTC slipper clutch, hydraulically actuated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a Pirelli MT60 RS 18 in front tire and a Pirelli MT60 RS 17 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 320 mm disc, 4 piston Brembo caliper in the front and a Single 240 mm disc, Brembo single piston, floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43 mm WP-USD forks while the rear was equipped with a WP-Monoshock with Pro-Lever linkage. The Svartpilen 701 was fitted with a 12 Liters / 3.17 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 158.5 kg / 349.4 lbs. The wheelbase was NA long.

ENGINE The SVARTPILEN 701 is powered by a modern 692.7 cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine that features the latest design and electronics technology. With a peak horsepower of 55 kW (75 hp) and 72 Nm of torque at 6750 rpm, there is no doubting this motorcycle´s performance potential. The electronic fuel injection is operated by a ride-by-wire system and delivers immediate, sharp and refined power, controlled by the standard traction control system. Featuring some of the latest technical solutions, such as a standard up & down easy shift, this engine delivers exceptional ride-ability. Produced using innovative production processes and the highest quality materials, premium reliability and efficiency is ensured. This quality also results in conveniently long 10,000 km service interval.



EXHAUST The exhaust system on the SVARTPILEN 701 features a steel pre-silencer, neatly concealed within the framework of the motorcycle, and a final silencer, proudly exposed and stylishly finished in black to compliment the overall design. The exhaust is designed to perfectly match the engine performance, as well as meet strict emissions regulations.

SUSPENSION The suspension on the SVARTPILEN 701 is produced by WP and is made to exacting standards, ensuring the highest level of quality and craftsmanship. The front features upside down 43 mm forks with a split damping function, while the rear features a monoshock, connected via a linkage to the swingarm. Both high-quality components are fully adjustable and can be set up to perfectly to handle ever-changing urban environments.



BRAKES The SVARTPILEN 701 is fitted with hydraulic BREMBO disk brake callipers, which are manufactured to the highest standards and, in combination with 320 mm front and 240 mm rear perforated steel discs, deliver controllable and confident braking performance. The SVARTPILEN 701 is also fitted with a state-of-the-art BOSCH ABS system, ensuring the highest level of safety in varying braking conditions. This function can be fully disengaged for more advanced riders.

EXTERIOR The intention with the SVARTPILEN 701, was to strip away all unnecessary gimmicks and create a simple, progressive mix of classic thinking and modern design. This approach is synonymous with the Swedish heritage of Husqvarna Motorcycles and can be clearly seen in the sleek, reduced look of this model. The lightweight, narrow bodywork is stylishly shaped into the SVARTPILEN 701's overall design and allows for seamless movement while riding. The design was inspired by the raw and timeless authenticity of the flat track scene, but brought to life in a premium, modern and progressive way.

WHEELS The lightweight 18" front and 17" rear black cast alloy wheels produce minimal unsprung weight and contribute to the bikes dark, mysterious appeal. The Husqvarna Motorcycles insignia discreetly embedded into the wheel is an assurance of premium quality, strength and durability. The PIRELLI MT60 RS tires offer advanced grip and durability in a wide range of conditions, while also giving the SVARTPILEN 701 a more rugged character.



SEAT The seat of the SVARTPILEN 701 uses high-quality materials that, despite its reduced appearance, offers superior comfort and durability. Integrated into the minimalistic tail of the motorcycle, it floats seamlessly above the rear wheel, adding to the unique experience of riding the SVARTPILEN 701.

TAIL Extending from the main bodywork and floating above the rear wheel is the unique tail of the SVARTPILEN 701. Its reduced appearance is a stand-out component of the design and also features a flat track-inspired side panel that enhances its timeless design.



TANK & FILLER CAP The aluminum filler cap sits proudly atop the 12 L fuel tank and displays the Husqvarna Motorcycles logo as a stamp of premium quality. The tank seamlessly integrates into the overall design, and is a central focal point of the SVARTPILEN 701's style. Its uniquely shaped profile allows the rider to move seamlessly between riding positions, while the black painted finish and subtle accents highlight its progressive design.

TRIPLE CLAMP Offroad style handlebars and risers provide a comfortable upright riding position, and a great visual perspective. The premium quality forged aluminum triple clamps are designed to ensure high levels of strength and reliability while also delivering advanced feedback and comfort to the rider. The bike's SIMPLE. PROGRESSIVE. design means no fairings or unnecessary attachments obstruct the control zone and simply features a digital display unit with the necessary information.



LIGHTS The premium LED headlight on the SVARTPILEN 701 has an unmistakable look. It is integrated into the number board style front panel, which is another subtle element of its flat track inspiration. Around the circumference is a daytime running light, making the SVARTPILEN 701 clearly visible in all conditions.The LED tail light is integrated within the sleek bodywork and together with the swingarm mounted license plate and turn signals, give the rear end a clean, uninterrupted look.
