The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Two stroke, single cylinder, reed valve. The engine featured a 10.2:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 80/100-21 front tire and a 110/100-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 250mm disc 2 piston caliper in the front and a Single 230mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm conventional cartridge fork while the rear was equipped with a UNI-TRAK® single-shock system. The KDX250R was fitted with a 12.5 Liters / 3.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 107 kg / 296 lbs. The wheelbase was 1475 mm / 58.0 in long.
