The engine was a Air cooled cooled Two stroke, single cylinder.. The engine featured a compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.50 -21 front tire and a 5.00 -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Adjustable air forks while the rear was equipped with a Uni-Trak. The KDX450 was fitted with a 12 Liters / 3.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 118 kg / 260 lbs. The wheelbase was 1520 mm / 59.8 in long.
