The Kawasaki KFX450R was a single cylinder, four-stroke ATV produced by Kawasaki between 2008 and 2014.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 96.0mm bore x 62.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 449.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 21/7-10 front tire and a 20/10-9 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. two-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a dual a-arms, coil-over shocks / 8.5 in. while the rear was equipped with a swingarm with piggy-back reservoir shock, dual-rate spring / 10.0 in.. The KFX450R was fitted with a 2.6 Gallon (9.84 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 870.16 pounds (394.7 Kg). The wheelbase was 49.41 inches (1255 mm) long.

The 2007 Kawasaki KFX450R is an all-new beast, with a new engine and design, improved ergonomics and retaining only the racing character of the old KFX400 models. This motocross ATV boasts reinforced steel rims for the rear axle, offering a dramatic increase in terms of durability ready for the roughest scenarios such as hard landings.

Multiple pre-load and damping settings can be achieved with ease with the 2007 Kawasaki KFX450R suspensions: they ensure the best ground contact in pretty much any conditions and still make the ride as comfortable as possible. The redesigned seat delivers both freedom of movement for the aggressive rider and great support for fast turns.


The 449cc engine is derived from the world-class KX450F bike and delivers a ton of useable power and dependable torque for fast accelerations and precise track cornering. The 2007 Kawasaki KFX450R is not a street-legal ATV, so it's intended for off-road and track use only.
