The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, pushrod, 2 valve. The engine featured a 7.5:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet multiple plate clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.50-19 front tire and a 3.00-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 118mm Drum in the front and a 118mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm with hydraulic shocks. The 83 Ottantatrè Sport was fitted with a 12 Liters / 3.1 US gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1245 mm / 49.0 in long.

MV Agusta 83 Ottantatrè Sport
The Sport was an alternative to the
Turismo and allowed for slightly better
performance. From an aesthetic point of view the two models are almost
indistinguishable, the Sport has a larger centre transport compartment.
The color is red with a red/ivory gas tank.
