The MV Agusta 98 Turismo was a air-cooled, two-stroke, single cylinder Classic motorcycle produced by MV Agusta in 1944. Claimed horsepower was 3.49 HP (2.6 KW) @ 4800 RPM.

A 48.3mm bore x 48.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 98.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 2-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiplate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.50x19 front tire and a 3.00x19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via lateral 125 mm drum in the front and a lateral 125 mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a plunger box.

This post World War II machine was equipped with an air-cooled, two-stroke, 98cc engine with a 48mm bore and 54 mm stroke. It was the first motorcycle produced by Meccanica Verghera Agusta, which was the name of the now MV Agusta. It was produced in about 1700 units and was designed as an affordable and easy way of transportation between towns at the peak of Italian reconstruction. It had a weight of only 70 kg and reached a top speed of 65 kph (40 mph).
