Overview[edit | edit source]

MV Agusta F4-RR 312 1078 Edizione Final

Last year, the manufacturer of what many would call the most beautiful bikes on this planet has launched the second-generation of the F4 machine. And as brilliant as that new MV Agusta may be, we still melt when we think about the initial F4, a bike that first surfaced back in 1998.

The F4 was created by famous motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini at CRC (Cagiva Research Center). What few of us know is that the engine of the original F4 was derived from the 1990–1992 Ferrari Formula One engine, and early in the design process Ferrari engineers assisted in the development of the engine.

As a tribute to that model, the last batch of those bikes has just been announced and bear the Edizione Finale (Final Edition) designation. A well deserved farewell to the bike that has haunted thousands of bikers’ wishlists for the last 13 years.

Based on the 1078 RR 312 variant, the MV Agusta F4 RR Edizione Finale offers the rider the possibility to be in control of no less than 190 horsepower and 91.4 lb-ft (124 Nm) of torque. Furthermore, Finale Edizione owners could accelerate this bike until a top speed of 194 mph (312 km/h).

MV produced 30 units of the Edizione Finale and all were sold in Japan. The Edizione Finale is distinguished by a numbered plaque, unique badging and the quilted brown saddle with red stitching.
