The engine was a Air cooled cooled Single cylinder, 4-stroke, SOHC. The engine featured a 10.5:1 compression ratio.

It came with a 90/80-16 51J front tire and a 90/80-16 51J rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Hydraulic disc, 226 mm in the front and a Drum, 110 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Twin sided swing arm. The Jet4 125 was fitted with a 5.2 L / 1.4 US gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1320 mm / 52.0 in. long.

As Sym 's Jet range enters a new era, we see the launch of
the Sym Jet 4. Powered by a smooth environmentally friendly four stroke engine
the Jet 4 features a distinctive Sporty appearance enhanced by the 13 alloy
wheels and the powerful large perforated front disc brake.
The latest bright color schemes of the Sym Jet 4 50 and 125 's are both fashionable and more importantly highly visible, adding to the list of safety features offered by the Jet 4 models.
