The Sanglas 500 S 2 was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Sanglas between 1976 and 1982. It could reach a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 26.42 HP (19.7 KW) @ 5930 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 89.5mm bore x 79.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 497.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.25-18 front tire and a 3.50-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The 500 S 2 was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.
