The Sherco 50 SM-R was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Sherco between 2016 and 2017.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 40.3mm bore x 39.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.7 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multidisc in oil bath.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.50-17 front tire and a 3.50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. hydraulic in the front and a single disc. hydraulic in the rear. The front suspension was a ø37 mm hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a single shock absorber, adjustable spring preload. The 50 SM-R was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 182.98 pounds (83.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 53.54 inches (1360 mm) long.
