The Sherco 290 ST was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Sherco between 2001 and 2014.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 76.0mm bore x 60.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 272.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate in oil bath.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via single disc. hydraulically activated formula floating disc in the front and a single disc. hydraulically activated formula floating in the rear. The front suspension was a tech ø 39 mm hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a progressive link system with single r16v adjustable shock absorber. The 290 ST was fitted with a 0.77 Gallon (2.90 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 149.91 pounds (68.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.05 inches (1322 mm) long.
