A 38.1mm bore x 38.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 47.6 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2-Speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Three-plate wet clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Swing lever with rubber pads while the rear was equipped with a Swing arm with rubber pads.
1957 - 1959 Simson SR2[edit | edit source]
The Simson SR2 is like its predecessor, a moped. The engine is started by stepping the pedals. In contrast to its predecessor SR1, the SR2's engine could be started while it was standing, because it had a pedal kickstarter . With the second gear engaged and the clutch disengaged, one could also cycling.
