[[Kawasaki]] personalized 200 KZ1000's for their dealers to ride in convoy from their manufacturing plant in Lincoln, Nebraska, to a reception in St. Louis, Missouri, and then to their respective dealerships.  The theme of the ride, "The Americanization of Kawasaki" was to focus on that they were on the only Japanese motorcycle company with an operating facility in the US at this time.  Special decals and equipment were installed by the accessory supplier, [[Vetter]], to Kawasaki's specifications.
