Engine
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 247.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane.
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.
Chassis
It came with a -21 front tire and a -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake). cable in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). mechanical link in the rear. The front suspension was a  conventional forks while the rear was equipped with a mono-x triangular swingarm. The IT250 was fitted with a 3.2 Gallon (12.11 Liters) fuel tank.
