The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Rour stoke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 12.2:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet, multiple plates, coil springs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70ZR-17 front tire and a 180/55ZR-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm Discs, 4 piston caliper, ABS in the front and a Single 240 mm disc, 1 piston caliper, ABS in the rear. The front suspension was a 43 mm Telescopic forks fully adjustable spring preload while the rear was equipped with a Link-type, coil spring, oil-damped, spring preload 7-way adjustable, rebound damping force fully adjustable. The GSR400 ABS was fitted with a 16.5 Liters / 4.4 US gal / 3.6 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 190 kg / 419 lbs.

Suzuki GSR 400 ABS
Suzuki has upgraded its naked middleweight
sportbike, Suzuki GSR400 and GSR400 ABS. Sale of new bikes have been started on
9 March of 2009. Suzuki GSR400 starts at 829 500 yen, and the GSR400 ABS can be
yours for 861 000 yen. The two bikes currently are available In Japan only.
Suzuki Japan targets to sell 1000 units of new GSR400 and 1000 units for
upgraded GSR400 ABS.
Suzuki GSR400 and GSR400 ABS come with new features including fuel injection system and the module ECM (Engine Control Module). The engines power increases now up to 45 kVt at 12000rpm. The refinement also gives better fuel consumption and less exhaust emission.
