The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, TSCC. The engine featured a 12.2:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Hydraulically-actuated multiplate wet clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) tubeless front tire and a 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) tubeless rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 310mm Brembo discs, 4 piston Brembo calipers / ABS in the front and a Single 220 mm disc / ABS in the rear. The front suspension was a Inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped while the rear was equipped with a Link type, coil spring, oil damped. The GSX-S 1000F Special Edition was fitted with a 17 Liters / 4.4 US gal / 3.7 Imp gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1460 mm / 57.5 in long.

Suzuki GSX-S 1000F Special Edition
Suzuki has launched new special edition models, a special Carbon Edition for the and a Tour Edition for the GSX-S1000F. The Suzuki GSX-S1000F will be available only in Blue or Red/Black paint scheme. Suzuki is equipping the special edition with several unique components. The Tour Edition receives heated grips, tall windscreen, silver graphic kit, 15-litre tank bag, and a 12-litre tail bag. Both motorcycles are inspired by the teams MotoGP machines and are powered by a fuel-injected 999 cc four cylinder engine making 145 hp at 10,000 rpm. The GSX-S1000 is a super-naked that already ticks plenty of boxes, thanks to its aggressive styling and the fact its powered by the engine from the iconic GSX-R1000 K5, Suzuki GB marketing manager Rob Cooper said. The new special editions will further stand out from the crowd, with their attention-grabbing graphics and colored Brembo calipers. The GSX-S1000F is the everyday sportbike, with a comfortable riding position and weather protection, while retaining its GSX-R character.
