The engine featured a 11.8:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/80-17 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 290 mm Discs, 2 piston calipers in the front and a Single disc, 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a single shock preload adjustable.. The GSX400X Impulse was fitted with a 18 Liters / 4.8 US gal / 4.0 Imp gal fuel tank.
