The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Ffour stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve. The engine featured a NA compression ratio.

Power was moderated via the Multiple-disk in oil-bath with hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 -17 front tire and a 150/70 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 320mm disc 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 240mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 46/48 Kayaba / Paioli USD (optional Öhlins) while the rear was equipped with a Öhlins mono shock. The SMR450F was fitted with a 8 Liters / 2.4 US gal fuel tank.
