The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke.

The bike has a 4-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00-14 front tire and a 2.75-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a conventional fork while the rear was equipped with a twin shocks. The Matador 125 was fitted with a 0.79 Gallon (3.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 143.3 pounds (65.0 Kg).
