The Tribsa came about for much the same reason as the Triton, although its forte' was on the rough rather than the tarmac. Contemporary scrambles machines from the major manufacturers all displayed compromises which adversely affected their performance, for some enterprising individuals the blend of the fine handling BSA frame and easily tuned Triumph engine provided an answer. In more recent years the Tribsa has become a popular mount for those competeing in the pre 1960 class of classic scrambles.
