The Triumph Daytona 500 was a twin, four-stroke standard produced by Triumph between 1966 and 1969. Claimed horsepower was 38.22 HP (28.5 KW) @ 7400 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 69.0mm bore x 65.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 490.0 cubic centimeters.
