2001 Suzuki VL1500 Intruder: This is the wife writing this. Husband is trying to get his 2001 VL1500 Intruder running after a 4 year sit. Drained and replaced gas with Premium. Added Sea-foam to the gas (lots). When the bike does start it hisses and pops, then dies. Seems the problem is in the rear cylinder. Either it is not getting gas all the time or spark. Suspicions is the new gas and Sea-foam has not cleaned out the rear cylinder carburetor yet. Am i Right? Should I just keep starting and working the new gas through. Or stop before I damage the bike. Husband wants to know if this is the sign of a bad coil? Or if you have other thoughts ... bring them on. We are getting anxious to ride.
