Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, OHV. The engine featured a 8:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00 x 21 Trials Universal front tire and a 4.00 x 19 Trials Universal rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 7 x 1 in., drum in the front and a 7 x 1 in., drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork with hydraulic damping and an offset wheel spindle while the rear was equipped with a Woodhead-Monroe springs with hydraulic damping, later Armstrong and Girling. The Thruxton Endurance was fitted with a 11.35 L / 3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 170 kg / 375 lbs. The wheelbase was 1365 mm / 53.75 in long.
