The Vespa VESPA 125 was a Single cylinder, 4-stroke, air cooled scooter produced by Vespa in 1948. Claimed horsepower was 3.49 HP (2.6 KW) @ 4500 RPM.

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.8 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 3 transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.5x8 front tire and a 3.5x8 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Trail arm, coil spring while the rear was equipped with a Coil spring with dumper. The wheelbase was 44.49 inches (1130 mm) long.
1948 - 1950 Vespa VESPA 125[edit | edit source]
The Vespa 125 offeered continous improvment over the Vespa 98. The original scooter wasn`t fitted with a centerstand. The 1949 version of Vespa 125 had a new designed horizontal fins to promote better cooling.
