The Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4 IRS was a 4-stroke, Air-/oil-cooled Single, SOHC ATV produced by Yamaha between 2009 and 2012.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a oil & air cooled 4-stroke, Air-/oil-cooled Single, SOHC. A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 386.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed, reverse transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a AT25 x 8-12 ITP Mud Lite front tire and a AT25 x 10-12 ITP Mud Lite rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual Hydraulic Discs in the front and a Sealed oil bathed, multi disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Independent double wishbone; 5.8-in travel while the rear was equipped with a Independent double wishbone; 7.6-in travel. The Big Bear 400 4x4 IRS was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 593.04 pounds (269.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 48.39 inches (1229 mm) long.
