The bike has a Ultramatic V-belt with all-wheel engine braking/H, L, N, R, P transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a AT25x8-12 front tire and a AT25x10-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual hydraulic discs in the front and a Sealed oil bathed, multi disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Independent double wishbone; 6.3-in travel while the rear was equipped with a Independent double wishbone; 7.1-in travel. The Grizzly 450 4x4 EPS was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 48.5 inches (1232 mm) long.

The 2010 Yamaha Grizzly 450 4x4 EPS boasts the acclaimed Electric Power Steering system which dramatically enhances the maneuverability and provides a reassuring feel even on the roughest of terrains, while at the same time making steering at low speed much easier. With just a push of a button, riders can switch to a fully-locked differential 4WD when the going gets tough, or to the limited-slip 4WD for steep climbs or descending hard slopes. Engine braking is also standard and helps for safer riding on steep gradients.
