The Yamaha TZR 250 (2MA) was a Liquid Cooled, Two Stroke, Parallel Twin Cylinders, Reed Valve Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1986. Claimed horsepower was 50.02 HP (37.3 KW) @ 10000 RPM.

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 100/80-17 front tire and a 120/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 320mm Discs 2 Piston Calipers in the front and a Single 210mm Disc 1 Piston Caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Fork while the rear was equipped with a Coil And Gas Spring.

1986 - 1990 Yamaha TZR 250 (2MA)[edit | edit source]

Designed to replace the RD 250 and RD 350, the TZR 250 was born in 1986. The 2MA variant was known in the UK, while in Japan the bike was familiar under the name 1KT. There were variations of these models, the changes concerning the lighting arrangements and the indicators.
