The Yamaha TZR 250 (3XV) was a Liquid Cooled, Two Stroke, Parallel Twin Cylinders, Reed Valve Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1991.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/70 Z17 front tire and a 150/60 Z17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual Discs With 4 Piston Calipers in the front and a Single 210mm Disc 2 Piston Caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 39mm Upside-down Forks while the rear was equipped with a Monocross Linkage.

1991 - 1996 Yamaha TZR 250 (3XV)

Designed to replace the RD 250 and RD 350, the TZR 250 was born in 1986 with a price of around $6,000. The 2MA variant was known in the UK, while in Japan the bike was familiar under the name 1KT. There were variations of these models, the changes concerning the lighting arrangements and the indicators. Till 1996 when production of TZR 250 stopped, there were the reverse cylinder version 3MA and the V-twin 3XV model.
