The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 180° parallel twin, SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 9.3:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet multiplate with seven friction and six thrust plates.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-18 front tire and a 120/90 x 16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 267mm disc in the front and a 160mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks, swing arm, 5-position preload adjustable. The XS250 Midnight Special was fitted with a 14 Liters / 3.7 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 169 kg / 373 lbs. The wheelbase was 1375 mm / 54.1 in long.
