The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve. The engine featured a 8.8:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 4.60-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Mono-cross. The XT400E Artesia was fitted with a 11.4 Liters / 3.0 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 136 kg / 300 lbs. The wheelbase was 1405 mm / 55.3 in long.
