Overview[edit | edit source]

Yamaha XTZ 250X

Lightweight and compact, Yamaha XT 250 X is powered by a 249cm3 air-cooled, SOHC 2 valve fuel injection engine. Its aluminum plated cylinders delivers excellent heat dissipation, in addition to forged piston which contributes to mechanical noise reduction, the Yamaha engineers employs a new fuel injection system for optimum performance and power delivery. With a powerful torque at all speed range, this bike is completely nimble and a total blowup.

The XT 250 X is a well-balance road machine thanks to its adopted semi-double cradle frame. While emphasizing balance, it was recommended to undergone thorough body mass centralization to achieve the light feeling, a sense of unity and stability. It is also equipped with a 5-speed gearbox to make it outstanding when running to streets and for effortless gear shifting. The front and rear suspension works together in providing soft and smooth feedback when running on rough roads, it enables agile riding on streets and easy cornering.

Superb stopping power is handled by front 2 pot caliper 245mm and rear 203mm disc brakes to support the bike’s agility and improved maximum ride control. Fine tune and dedicated tires are designed with rigidity and quality in mind that results to remarkable on and off road performance. Sure grip force of the load, of course, can quickly grasp the condition of the road surface, it is just a tuning to enjoy the street sports.

It’s an all-around Dual-Purpose Bike

Comes in compact, slim and stylish form, the Yamaha XT 250 X gives a strong sense of thrill and adventure. It received few tweaks over the years to enhance its look and performance. The result is a responsive 249cm3 engine with boosted power and torque which undoubtedly gives unlimited fun and excitement.

Off the road, the gear ratios are appropriate when tackling slopes and other areas that requires tight maneuvering. There is enough leg room for extra grace despite of the bikes narrow proportions. The six-speed transmission helps the bike handles the excessive weight to keep it stabilized and balanced. The tires did a good job on giving us good and comfortable feeling even under rocky roads and tough terrains. You may buy new pair of tires if you are planning to explore the dirt bike action.

Though it’s a dual-sports bike, we found better on the streets than off-road. It has minimal ground clearance but with its decent suspension and hybrid chassis it can tackle rough road conditions. We never go to extreme level but its reliable engine accelerates enough to pull on corners and twisties. We aren’t able to drive past four wheeler and sneak out on city traffics but we are 100% satisfied with the bike’s ability. We hit the redline at 10,300rpm on highway, this proved the bike’s agility on straightaways.

Riding around the town, Yamaha XT 250 X runs crispy on the corners. It is light, excellent steering on the road but may require extra effort on the dirt. Freely manipulate the machine to discover its power and capabilities, who knows it can be added to your new daily routine.
