The Kawasaki NINJA 400 was a Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Parallel Twin Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki in 2018. Max torque was 28.03 ft/lbs (38.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 45.06 HP (33.6 KW) @ 10000 RPM.
Engine
A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis
It came with a 110/70R17 M/C 54H front tire and a 150/60R17 M/C 66H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 290 mm petal disc. Caliper: Single balanced actuation dual piston in the front and a Single 220 mm petal disc. Caliper: Dual piston in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak with gas-charged shock and 5-way adjustable preload. The wheelbase was 55.31 inches (1405 mm) long.
2018 Kawasaki NINJA 400
The new Ninja 400 continues a trend of beginner bikes growing larger and larger in recent years. Replacing the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the lineup, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is set to be Team Green’s new entry-level model, and help Kawasaki better compete against bigger bikes like the Yamaha YZF-R3 and KTM RC390.
