The Kawasaki TERYX was a 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, OHV, V liquid-cooled ATV produced by Kawasaki in 2017. Max torque was 47.21 ft/lbs (64.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 783.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a Continuously Variable belt-drive Transmission (CVT) with centrifugal clutch and H, L, N, and reverse transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a Maxxis 26x9-12 front tire and a Maxxis 26x11-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual hydraulic discs with two-piston calipers in the front and a Sealed, oil-bathed, multi-disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Color-matched dual A-Arms with piggyback reservoir coil-over Fox Podium shocks, with adjustable spring preload and 24-way compression damping while the rear was equipped with a Color-matched Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) with new piggyback reservoir coil-over Fox Podium shocks, with adjustable spring preload and 24-way compression damping. The wheelbase was 85.79 inches (2179 mm) long.
2017 Kawasaki TERYX[edit | edit source]
This model is powered by a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 783cc engine, placing it in the big bore displacement class (650cc class and above). The 10.7:1 compression ratio is about the same as the average sport Side by Side. A higher compression ratio is desirable because it means an engine can do the same amount of work with less fuel, leading to increased efficiency and power for a given engine size; high compression ratios are indicative of high performance.
