The Honda VF1000F 2 was a v4, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Honda between 1984 and 1987. It could reach a top speed of 144 mph (232 km/h). Max torque was 63.43 ft/lbs (86.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 97.89 HP (73.0 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled v4, four-stroke. A 77.0mm bore x 53.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 100/90-18 front tire and a 140/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm air adjustable forks while the rear was equipped with a Pro-link. The VF1000F 2 was fitted with a 6.08 Gallon (23.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 59.29 inches (1506 mm) long.

1984 - 1986 Honda VF 1000 R

First released in 1984, the Honda VF 1000 R came with numerous attractive features, such as the electronic starter system or the chain final drive. Moreover, its engine develops 130 horsepower at 10500 rpm and a torque of 92 Nm at 8000 rpm.


1985 Honda VF 1000 F

The VF 1000F has a liquid cooled, four stroke, 90 degrees, V four cylinders, 998cc engine which could develop 116 horsepower at 10000rpm and a torque of 86 Nm at 8000rpm.
