The Honda VF500F was a super sport motorcycle produced by Honda from 1984 to 1986 and more commonly known as the Interceptor 500.
1984
The Honda Interceptor 500, designated VF500F'84 (VF500FL'84 in California), was sold in 1984. Two color schemes were available: Candy Alamoana Red with Black and Shasta White, and Candy Aleutian Blue with Fighting Red and Shasta White. The wheels were machined finish with black spokes. The seat and front legs were black. The front fender was white. The 4-into-2 exhaust system was black chrome. The California serial number began JH2PC1217EM000005 while the rest of the United States models began JH2PC1206EM000018.
1985
The VF500F'85 500 Interceptor was sold in 1985 in one of two color schemes: Candy Alamoana Red with Candy Blue and Shasta White or Candy aleutian Blue with Candy Red and Shasta White. The "500" graphic on the side of the seat was white. The wheels were machined finish with black spokes. The seat and front legs were black. The front fender was white. The 4-into-2 exhaust system was black chrome. The engine was a 498cc DOHC 4-valve liquid cooled V-4 linked to a 6 speed transmission. The serial number began JH2PC120*FM100001
1986
The VF500F'86 500 Interceptor was sold in 1986 in only one color scheme: Fighting Red with Shasta White and Candy Blue. The seat, front fender, and fork legs were red. The wheels were solid black. The 4-into-2 exhaust system was black chrome. The engine was a 498cc DOHC 4-valve liquid cooled V-4 linked to a 6 speed transmission.
