2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI[edit | edit source]
Polaris pioneered the modern big-bore ATV market in the mid-1990s with the release of the Sportsman 500. The Sportsman's long-travel independent rear suspension, high-displacement (for the time) four-stroke engine, continuously variable transmission and other features were revolutionary.
2009 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI[edit | edit source]
The 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI is a half-liter ATV which boasts pretty much the same bold character of its 800cc-class, and will tread on the roughest ground with ease and might. Engineered for those riders who prefer a smaller engine, this quad retains the maneuverability and exceptional obstacle-tackling capabilities, being as dependable for outdoor chores around the ranch as it is fun to ride during weekends.
For solid off-road fun, this quad brings for the automatic transmission granting ease of use, AWD on the go, engine braking and active descent control. Four hydraulic discs make sure slowing down on steep gradients is safe and thanks to the acclaimed independent rear suspension, riding on difficult trails and rough ground becomes smoother and safer.
