The Honda GL 400 was a Water cooled, V-twin, 4 stroke, 2 valves per cylinder Touring motorcycle produced by Honda in 1980. Max torque was 22.87 ft/lbs (31.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 39.96 HP (29.8 KW) @ 9500 RPM.


Engine

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, longitudinal 80° V-twin cylinder, SOHC 4 valves per cylinder operated by pushrods. The engine featured a 10.0:1 compression ratio.

Chassis

It came with a 3.50S19-4PR front tire and a 3.75S18-4PR rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 275 mmdisc 1 piston caliper in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual chocks. The GL400 was fitted with a 18 Liters / 4.8 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 200 kg / 440.9 lbs.
