The Kawasaki ZN700 LTD Shaft was a in-line four, four-stroke standard produced by Kawasaki from 1984 to 1985. Claimed horsepower was 72.42 HP (54.0 KW) @ 9500 RPM.
Overview
Kawasaki modified the KZ model to create the ZN700 LTD, which squeaks in at 694cc to get just under the 700cc-threshold imposed by the 1980s motorcycle tariff. In 1987, Harley-Davidson petitioned for an early end to the 5-year tariff (tax) and 750 Japanese bikes were back in full force, thus giving the ZN 700 a short production cycle.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 64.0mm bore x 54.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 694.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet plate.
Chassis
It came with a 110/90-18 61h front tire and a 130/90-16 67h rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. single piston calipers in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swing arm with dual air adjustable shocks. The ZN700 LTD Shaft was fitted with a 3.67 Gallon (13.90 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 478.4 pounds (217.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.45 inches (1510 mm) long.
The Kawasaki ZN700A is a motorcycle produced by Kawasaki from 1984 to 1985.
1984
American sports model with shaft drive. Front dual disc and rear disc brakes, air adjustable front fork, air and damping force adjustable rear shock absorbers. Electric starter and transistorized ignition system.
