The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 56.5mm bore x 49.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 140/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a upside down telescopic while the rear was equipped with a single shock, air, adjustable.. The ZS125 was fitted with a 3.17 Gallon (12.00 Liters) fuel tank.
