The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, two cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer, pushrod operated 2 valves per cylinder.. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Dry single plate, with diaphragm spring.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-H19 front tire and a 120/90-H18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single ∅285mm disc, 1 piston caliper in the front and a ∅200mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a BMW Monolever swinging arm. The R80T was fitted with a 19 Liters / 5.0 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 231 Kg / 509 lbs.
