The engine featured a 12.9:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.75-21 front tire and a 4.60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 240mm disc in the front and a Single 130mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swinging arm single shock. The Elefant II125 was fitted with a 14 Liters / 3.7 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 125 kg.

Cagiva Elefant 125 II
Cagiva Elefant 125 first appeared in 1984 and produced
until 1990 in various variants.
The first series , Elephant 2 , produced from 1985, used the red Cagiva Aletta as a base, but being a model from Dakar, resembled the forms of the Elephant 750 running in the Dakar, and unlike the red carpet the tank had more Large and different colors. As for the chassis, the bike had exactly the same as the Red Aletta Liquid Cooling , the rear shock absorber , the mixer , the lamellar aspiration and the forked front brake , this series is replaced by the Cagiva Cruiser .
The elephant produced from 1986 to 1988 differs from the previous one, because it uses new forks that have the sprocket in the advanced and not in the axle, the cupola is larger and acquires the visor, the side curtains of the radiators become larger and The saddle becomes shorter, covering the reservoir less.
