The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 71.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 582.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

It came with a 120/80-14 front tire and a 150/70-13 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. cbs three-piston caliper in the front and a single disc. cbs twin-piston caliper in the rear.
